Jaycson Bereal Selected KJCCC D-II Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week

Johnson County Community College sophomore guard Jaycson Bereal has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Division II Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for week six.

Bereal averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 blocks while leading the No.6-ranked Cavaliers to a pair of wins last week. He also shot 58 percent from the field, and 40 percent beyond the arc.

He opened the week with 21 points, three boards, three assists and two blocks in a 98-67 win over Metropolitan. Bereal hit 82 percent of his shot attempts, going 9-for-11. He capped the week with 11 points and nine rebounds in a 74-65 win over Kansas City Kansas in both team’s conference opener.
