The Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC Creative Capital) is proud to announce and welcome Ciore Taylor as the new Director of Entrepreneurial Development and Education. In this newly established role at TEDC Creative Capital, Taylor will be responsible for entrepreneurial development, franchise opportunity, community partnerships, and serve as a liaison between TEDC, members, program partners and local resources.

Ciore brings over 10 years of entrepreneurship, organizational management, and strategic development experience along with a strong background in community development and engagement. A Tulsa native, Taylor recently returned to Tulsa after working as a management consultant in Boston, MA to work at Atento Capital. During her time at Atento, Taylor played a pivotal role in leading the efforts to strategically mobilize local leaders to build and implement the many COVID disaster recovery programs in Tulsa and Tulsa County.

As TEDC leadership looks to expand their programming to further serve and assist small business owners and entrepreneurs in Tulsa, Taylor has been charged with leading that effort. “It’s a really exciting time to join TEDC Creative Capital and to chart a strategic plan that is customized to Tulsa’s broad range of entrepreneurs and small business owners,” Taylor stated. “What I look forward to the most is deploying new programs that create equitable access to capital for entrepreneurs who have struggled to identify resources for their specific needs within our city and to underserved communities who don’t even know where to begin unraveling all that entrepreneurship requires.”

Rose Washington, CEO of TEDC, added, “TEDC is thrilled to welcome Ciore to our team. Her experience will allow us to elevate our small business programming while collaborating with community partners for greater impact. Ciore’s fresh approach will put TEDC on the leading edge of empowering diverse entrepreneurs with skills and resources needed to create wealth and build economic prosperity.”

Taylor began this role on Monday, February 8th working on her one of her first initiatives overseeing their new grant partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Co.
