Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school football. America’s source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2020 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence, in addition to local and state accolades.

Braylin Presley of  Bixby is the 2020 MaxPreps Oklahoma High School Football Player of the Year. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound junior running back piled up 2,767 all-purpose yards and 35 touchdowns to help the Spartans go 11-0 and win the Class 6A state championship.

Presley ran for 1,744 yards and 25 touchdowns, averaging 7.9 yards per carry. He ran for a season high 305 yards and six scores Oct. 2 against Carl Albert and help Bixby bring home the state crown by tallying 218 yards in a 17-14 win over Choctaw.

He was also a major factor in the passing game, making 57 catches for 727 yards and 10 scores. Presley tacked on nearly 300 more yards on returns.

247Sports reports that the Bixby star has already earned 13 college offers, including Baylor, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
