In Tulsa, The Folds of Honor Freedom Fest has been postponed to Labor Day Weekend but some Tulsa area fireworks shows are still going on as planned.
- Skiatook is planning to host their fireworks show on Friday night at the Airport after it gets dark outside. They say it will look a little different with no vendors or band, but people are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and maybe even a picnic basket – to watch the fireworks “drive in” style!
- Bixby is still planning to host their firework display at Bentley Park on Friday night. They say the fireworks will be launched from the northwest corner at 9-45 just like last year — but this year there will be no kids zone or firefighter challenge because of the need for physical distancing.
- Bristow is also planning to host their fireworks show at Bristow City Lake on Saturday night at 9. The show has been renamed the Sam Varner Memorial Firework Celebration to honor one of it’s own. They say donations for the show are being accepted at City Hall.
- On Saturday Jenks is planning to host Boomfest at the Riverwalk. It’s the cost of Oklahoma Aquarium admission for non-members but free for members. It’s also $10 parking at the aquarium for all who park there.
