Oklahoma Call To Action SQ 803 Permit-Less Carry

It’s now or never for SQ803.  If you, like me, are tired of politicians working for the gun lobby instead of protecting our people, YOU, can change that this weekend. Come sign the state question 803 petition to stop the bill our Oklahoma politicians have passed to allow “permit less gun carry” in Oklahoma. Then let every Oklahoman vote on the issue in 2020. Permit less gun carry means anybody with a gun can carry it without ANY training, without ANY permit. This law is going to get people hurt or killed. Do something.

Oklahoma is only one incident away from a Wal-Mart or church or school shooting. We already have open carry, the new law takes away any training and any permits. Stop this law in its tracks by signing the petition this weekend. We have locations all over Tulsa where you can sign the petition this Saturday between 11 AM and 3 PM. Or visit Facebook search for Oklahoma Veto Referendum to find a location near you all over the state. The deadline is August 29th at 5PM – BUT you must sign it this weekend to be sure your signature counts!

Sensible gun laws are not that hard to understand and support. Oklahoma is not the wild west but our politicians and the gun lobby want to make it that way. We have to work just as hard to stop them. Our poor, rural and communities of color are at risk.  Make a plan, find a place to sign the petition and “do something”.

The petition for State Question 802, Let Oklahoma vote to Expand Medicaid, will also be available to sign at every location. Once again, our politicians have failed to accept the federal Medicaid Expansion that would cover over 200,000 Oklahomans with healthcare. Our federal tax dollars, the ones you have already paid, have been going to the 36 other states who have expanded Medicaid and left Oklahoma out in the cold. People who work hard but make less than $17,000 a year or families of 3 who make less than $29,000 a year don’t qualify for the ACA and are left out. Protect the least among us, sign the Medicaid Expansion petition to get the question on the 2020 ballot. Pick a location, go sign the petitions Saturday, August 24th.
