Lloyd William Jackson was born on October 19, 1934, in Windom, Texas, graduated from Brailley High School in 1953, received Bachelor of Commercial Science from Oklahoma School of Accounting and served in the United States military from 1953-1959. In the 1950’s, Lloyd dated and married Olivia Bernice Pickens Jackson. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and to this union, ten (10) children were born. Lloyd and Olivia both shared the same birthday, which is October 19th. Lloyd and Olivia united with the Shiloh Baptist Church where they were very active in the ministry of the church.

Lloyd worked at Hanna Lumber Company in Tulsa, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and became the first black auditor for the State of Oklahoma. He and his wife Olivia started Jackson & Associates in 1961, which included income tax preparation, bookkeeping and real estate. Lloyd accepted his call to ministry in the early 1990’s, and established Maplewood Missionary Baptist Church in December of 2002.  Lloyd and Olivia had a fantastic love affair that lasted over 60 years, and celebrated 60 years of marriage in June of 2017.

On January 21, 2019, Lloyd transitioned from this life to glory. Pastor Jackson’s parents, mother Susie G. McNeal and father Marvin Jackson preceded him in death. His loving wife Olivia Bernice Pickens Jackson passed on February 14, 2018. Five children preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Pastor Donna Jackson and April Jackson. Sons, Pastor James (Antoinette) Jackson, Randy (Jacqueline) Jackson and Michael Phillip Jackson. Grandchildren, Melanie, Charles II, Leavell, Jovonte, Nicole, Grant, JaShari, Jayla, and JaRon. Six great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
