City Hall, Facilities To Close Dec. 24, 25 For Christmas, Jan. 1 For New Year’s; Trash Schedule Changing For Most Customers

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday, and Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, for the New Year’s holiday. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.

Trash and recycling service will not operate on Dec. 25 – Christmas Day or Jan. 1, 2019 – New Year’s Day. Trash will be collected as usual on Monday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 31. For the rest of those two weeks, collection will move forward one day. Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday customers will be collected on Thursday; Thursday customers will be collected on Friday, and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. For twice-a-week collection, Monday/Thursday customers will be serviced on their regularly scheduled days, Tuesday/Friday customers will be collected on Wednesday/Friday, and Wednesday/Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday/Saturday.

The City’s mulch site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed Dec. 24-25, Dec. 27, and Jan. 1, 2019. On Jan. 2, it will resume its usual schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, excluding City holidays.

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be open on Dec. 24 from noon to 4 p.m. and closed Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, 2019. For the rest of the days of those weeks, the shelter will be open for its usual schedule: noon to 6 p.m. weekdays, noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and closed Sunday.

Oxley Nature Center’s visitor center will be closed Dec. 24-25, and Jan. 1, 2019, but the trails will be open on those days. All of Redbud Valley Nature Preserve will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1, 2019.

Tulsa Parks community centers will be closed Dec. 24-25, and Jan. 1, 2019. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, but closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Tulsa Zoo will be closed on Dec. 25, but open on Jan. 1.

Gilcrease Museum will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31, but will be open Jan. 1, 2019. Tulsa Garden Center will be closed Dec. 22 through Jan. 1, 2019, and will reopen on Jan. 2.

Tulsa Performing Arts Center administrative offices and theaters will be closed Dec. 24-25, and Jan. 1, 2019. Ticket sales are available 24 hours a day through www.tulsapac.com

Tulsa Transit will provide regular bus service on Dec. 24 and 31. Tulsa Transit will not provide bus service on Dec. 25, or Jan. 1, 2019.
