Former Booker T. Standout: Haleigh Lankster Named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach At University Of Arkansas Fort Smith

UAFS women’s basketball coach Tari Cummings has announced the recent hiring of Haleigh Lankster as an assistant coach.

Lankster, who is from Tulsa, Okla., was head girls basketball coach at Tulsa’s Carver Middle School and assistant girls basketball coach at Tulsa’s Booker T. Washington High School for three seasons.

She also was head coach and player development trainer for OK PWP Basketball for five years.

“Haleigh’s capacity to connect with the student-athletes, along with her ability to develop them on and off the court, is what drew me to her and made me want her to be a part of our program,” Cummings said.

Lankster is a graduate of Wichita State, where she played basketball for four seasons (2008-12). She played professional basketball overseas for one season (2013-14) in Montenegro and for one season (2014-15) in Slovenia.
