Tulsa McLain Alumnus Anita Williams Joins Westview Medical Center As New Provider

Anita Williams joins the Westview Medical Clinic as a new provider. Anita has resided in the Tulsa community for 47 years. She graduated from McLain High School in 1988. She completed her training to be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Tulsa Technology Center in 1995. In 2005, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduated Cum Lade, received the Florence Nightingale Award, and became a Registered Nurse (RN) while studying at Langston University. In 2009, Anita received a Master of Science degree, as well as awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Excellence in Clinical Nursing Practice from the University of Oklahoma.

In 2014, she received a Master of Science in Nursing and completed her education to become a dually board-certified Adult-Gerontological and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Anita has worked in the Tulsa north community as a nurse practitioner since 2014.

Anita is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners, the National Black Nurses Association, and the currently serves as president for the Eastern Oklahoma Black Nurses Association (Tulsa Chapter).

Anita is working with A&M Healthcare Clinic, LLC and will work diligently to serve as a resource to provide high-quality healthcare. A&M Healthcare Clinic plans to work collaboratively with its community partners and leaders to increase health and wellness in the Tulsa north community. Specific area of focus for A&M Healthcare Clinic, LLC will be ease of access to primary healthcare services, disease prevention, violence prevention, education, and decreasing health disparities for the Tulsa north community.

The grand opening of the clinic was held Monday June 4, 2018. Anita Williams and A&M Healthcare Clinic, LLC are now available to serve you at the Westveiw Medical Center located at the corner of Martin Luther King and 36th street North, for more information please call 918-428-5373.
