It is with sincere grief and sorrow that the Bailey family announces the passing of our patriarch, husband, hero and father, Dr. Bertrand Bailey Sr.

Following an extended battle with several health conditions, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at approximately 10:05 a.m., Dr. Bailey passed away in Oklahoma City, OK surrounded by his friends and immediately family.

Pastor Bailey was the Senior Pastor of St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK for over 37 years. He leaves to cherish his memories, his beautiful wife of over 41 years, Mrs. Juandalyn J. Bailey and 11 children: Bertricia, Bertrand Jr., Bertrain, Bertheophilus, Bertshalyn, Bertjuanette, Bertholomew, BerTabitha, Bertrick, and BerThaddaeus, Bertrina (deceased) and his brother, Samuel L. Bailey; 17 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews

In times like these, we take solace in knowing that our hero knew Jesus.

Our nation mourns as it has lost a nationally renowned evangelist; our state grieves as it has lost a civil rights leader and community activist; the city of Tulsa is sorrowful as it has lost its champion for people; St. Andrew Baptist Church weeps at the loss of its Senior Pastor of 37 years. However, our family rejoices as our hero, husband and father has earned his crown and has moved from labor to reward.
