The need for qualified healthcare professionals is on the rise within the United States. As Americans continue to age gracefully, and live longer, qualified medical professionals are needed to help provide healthcare for them.

Anew Direction offers Certified Nursing Aide training classes in Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District. The 75-hour class includes 59 hours of classroom training and 16 hours of clinical experience in a long-term care facility. Once students have completed the program they will be prepared to provide professional care in numerous healthcare settings; the settings can include: long term care, hospice, private duty & hospitals.

Anew Direction owners and instructors are Wendy Williams, RN, MS, MPH, and Rickesha Clark, RN, MS.

Williams is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in nursing care and nursing education. She is a very active part of the Tulsa healthcare community and an active member of Eastern Oklahoma Black Nurses Association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Williams is an industry expert on nursing leadership and nursing education and brings her vast experience to Anew Direction Healthcare Training Center. Williams stated, “At Anew Direction we are looking for students with quality and purpose in mind, students who will not only start but finish the course, and go on to become unique medical professionals in their chosen careers”.

Clark is a former United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps officer with an extensive work history in public health, critical care and nursing education. She has years of experience as a nursing instructor and now brings her nursing expertise to Anew Direction Healthcare Training Center.

Anew Direction also has medical professional training in other areas as well, to include; Certified Medication Aide, Medication Administration Technician and American Heart Association CPR/BLS/HeartSavers/First Aide. All classes are tailored to the needs of the student.
