Young Entrepreneurs Summer Program

By Eagle Newswire

Greenwood Cultural Center (GCC) is now enrolling children ages five through 11 for their Young Entrepreneurs Summer Program that will run from June 1-29, 2017, Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The doors will open at 8 a.m. GCC is located at 322 N. Greenwood Avenue, Tulsa, Okla. The last day for enrollment will be June 1.

The Theme

This year’s theme builds on the legacy of black entrepreneurs in the historic Black Wall Street district of Tulsa.

The Program And Goal

“Young Entrepreneurs,” will encourage its students to create a product, discuss aspects of becoming an entrepreneur and culminate with a marketplace at GCC where they will “sell” items they’ve created.

The goal is to encourage young people to consider the many opportunities that are available for them, including owning their own business, and to build a sense of pride and self-confidence while sparking their creativity.
